The Custom 20W combo was re-designed in response to the high demand for a smaller format combo amplifier with added features for the modern player: EFFECTS LOOP and LINE OUT. The Custom 20 amp produces even harmonics but with more attack and clarity. It is hand-wired in our Custom Shop, point-to-point with meticulous original wiring. This 20W combo is made in England with the best available components for those guitar players who are looking for a classic British sounding amp based on the early 70’s.

Hylight Electronics made high quality amps during the 60's, along with other well known manufactures of the period, that were largely responsible for shaping the sound of British rock during the 60's, 70's and beyond. Bands such as Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues, the Rolling Stones, and The Who have all used Hylight made amps to help create their legendary sounds. With their military-spec chassis, point-to-point wiring, and marine-grade cabinets, Hylight amps are also known for being very solidly built.

DESCRIPTION:
The Custom 20W amp along with the Custom SD are the smallest amplifiers that we produce in our Custom Shop. Ranging from bright clean sounds through to cranked up overdrive: this amplifier is very versatile! The bass, middle and treble controls offer a wide frequency range that any guitar player would dearly want. The smooth EQ curves are part of a special design-tone network, which is very musical and easy to control. It is powered by 2 x EL84 in the power stage, with 3 x ECC83. The 20W head employs the original Partridge designed transformers. Switchable to 4, 8 & 16 ohm output impedance, the VR20 Combo allows you to select from 100, 115, 230 and 240 volt sources. The pre-amp has high & low sensitivity inputs. Gain & master volume controls. 4, 8 & 16 ohm selector for matching to any cabinet. Add your favourite pedals to create your own personalised sound.

The Hylight VR20C combo can be paired with a second VE112F/C cabinet thus creating a small double stack. It is perfect for home, studio and live use and is still incredibly good looking. There is simply no better sounding, looking or engineered small combo amplifier in the world! This amplifier will last a lifetime!

Custom Shop Hylight amplifiers are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 3 Years from the date of purchase. To validate this warranty, please download the registration form on the manufacture’s website and email it with proof of purchase (bill of sale, receipt or invoice).
